After playing it for a while, i have noticed the neck is too wide. That explains why i had to go with wider bridge pin spacing. Because of that, im having trouble with my thumb over chords up the neck.

If i reshape the neck to a more v shape and make the neck thinner, will that help with the wideness? Should i leave it and do it better next time? Thoughts?

Been there done that. Made a wide, fat neck I thought would work with my big hands - I was wrong, I hated it. I thought about building a new neck but I chose to leave it and do better next time. The wide neck guitar lives with a young man who plays the snot out of it and loves the neck.

What are the dimensions? Like width at nut, depth at the first fret and just before the heel?
